Welcome to Forest Moor School

I am very proud to welcome you to Forest Moor School website.

We are a special school that works with children and young people aged 9-16 years old who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As a school community we put great store by our values of Belonging, Curiosity, Honesty, Challenge, Self-Reliance and Resourcefulness. This means that we work hard to ensure that every member of our school community feels included and individually known at our school. We offer a curriculum that inspires our pupils, and gives them the opportunity to explore the world around them, as well as their interests and aptitudes. Our school is in Nidderdale, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales; we use the beautiful countryside around us to practice and develop a wide range of personal skills, including self-reliance and resourcefulness. By learning in and outside of our classrooms, pupils leave us well-prepared for the next stage of their journey.
